National Food Service Platform: Smart Fridge & Automated Vending Ecosystem

We built the connected device platform behind a national institutional catering network, combining hardware control, mobile ordering and cloud management into a single ecosystem.

Smart Refrigerator is a full IoT unit with a built-in kiosk panel, PLC-controlled door and mobile app integration. Customers order via mobile app, receive a QR code and scan it on the fridge panel to view their order. On tapping collect, the PLC unlocks the door for a set time, then auto-locks with an on-screen confirmation. Operators log in directly from the fridge panel to load, unload and manage stock. Over-the-counter transactions are also supported.

Smart Vending machines operate with a built-in touchscreen app displaying menu options for walk-up purchase and instant dispensing of both hot and cold food. Operators access the machine via a secure login for stock loading and maintenance. The vending platform also integrates with the client's mobile app for pre-booking, allowing travellers at train stations, airports, or bus terminals to reserve a meal in advance and collect it within a set time window.

All devices connect to a centralised cloud backend for real-time device monitoring, stock level tracking and multi-location operations management.
